New Rooftop Events and Conference Space Coming to Holland

Holland, Mich. (January 13th, 2016) –

CityVū Bistro atop CityFlatsHotel to be converted from current concept

Chuck Reid, owner of the CityFlatsHotel brand, announced on Tuesday that CityVū Bistro, the popular restaurant located atop CityFlatsHotel – Holland, would be re-branded as an events and conference space this spring. In addition, CitySēn Lounge on the main floor of the hotel will also be updated to a new fast-casual restaurant environment.

CityVū Bistro’s last day of restaurant service will be Valentine’s Day with the remodel work immediately following on February 15th. The project is being overseen by CityFlatsHotel’s parent company, Charter House Innovations, a furniture manufacturer and interior design firm. They expect the work to be completed in March when the space will open to the public for an Easter brunch buffet. CityFlatsHotel anticipates the event space to remain open during holidays such as Easter, Mother’s Day, and Father’s day for Holland residents and guests to enjoy the view and unique dining experience.

The decision to transform CityVū Bistro came in part from the tremendous success CityFlatsHotel has seen with their ballroom in downtown Grand Rapids. The Ballroom @ CityFlatsHotel, which opened in the fall of 2012, was recently named Best of Weddings for 2016 by The Knot Magazine and expanded to include an additional banquet hall and conferences rooms in 2015.

Chuck Reid noted during his announcement that “the amount of weddings, special events, and corporate occasions in the Ballroom made the decision to repurpose CityVū Bistro an easy one. We see this as a great opportunity to open the premier events location on the lakeshore with beautiful views of Holland during every season.”

CitySēn Lounge on the main floor of the hotel will be updated to encompass additional seating and serve build your own pizzas in a fast-casual environment. Guests will be able to order pizzas and flatbreads directly from their cook, choosing from fresh locally sourced ingredients, hand-made doughs, and choice of sauces. CitySēn Lounge will keep their full bar offerings and expects to unveil a new signature night with live music and food and drink specials.
